Our work with the children and adolescents is based on deep mutual trust and it therefore works very well. Such trust can only be built up over many years. Working as a volunteer with children is very difficult for socio-psychological reasons and more complicated in remote places like here in West Papua than in other parts of the world. In addition to the cultural barrier, there is also a language barrier that can not be overcome in a short time.
